“THE ART OF THE BRICK”
Debuts at Lancaster Museum of Art
One-of-a-kind LEGO® Art Exhibit April 6 to May 20, 2007 in PA
WHAT: The Art of the Brick is the first major art exhibit to focus exclusively on LEGO building blocks as an art medium. More than 25 sculptures, mosaics and portraits created solely from one million standard LEGO bricks will fill the main von Hess Gallery inside the historic Pennsylvania art museum.
WHO: The exhibition presents the work of 33-year-old New York artist Nathan Sawaya.
WHERE: The Lancaster Museum of Art

WHEN: Friday, April 6 thru Sunday, May 20, 2007
HOW: Opening weekend festivities include the world’s largest LEGO Easter Egg hunt Saturday, April 7 at 10 a.m. 500 brightly decorated “eggs” crafted from standard LEGO bricks will be hidden for children to find (reservations required). Other activities -- story time with the Easter Bunny, LEGO building contests, autograph sessions with the artist and a catered brunch.
A Grand Opening reception Friday, April 6, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
