Getting asked to build Dustin Hoffman's head with toys coming out of his hair is not a usual request, but nothing is unexpected in my line of work. I was asked to build this for use in the set of an upcoming film, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium staring Mr. Hoffman, Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman. The portrait was to be hung in the title character's toy store.

Building Dustin Hoffman's head out of various LEGO bricks made me think of one word: plastics. (That is a reference to the film "The Graduate" for our younger viewers.)

This was a fun project, and led me to my largest installation to date: a billboard for the film.
