This was built for a contest which was looking for LEGO sculptures with the theme "Christmas through the eyes of a child." I didn't know what that meant exactly, but I came up with a girl looking at a winter night through a window. The piece is about three feet by three feet, and contains approximately 7,000 pieces. Unfortunately, the contest was cancelled, but the administrators of the contest asked me if they could include the piece in the holiday display of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows. They also asked me to build some large toys out of LEGO bricks as well. On short notice, I came up with a baseball and bat.
