Brooklyn Bridge

By far one of my favorite projects was the Brooklyn Bridge. Having crossed it many times, I was delighted when Long Island University asked me to build it out of plastic. It was a pleasure to study the architecture and reproduce it, albeit a tiny bit smaller than the original. Built in 1875, the Brooklyn Bridge spans the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. My rendition spans just under a mere seven feet in length. I built the bridge in two sections to make travel easier as LIU will be using the bridge for various events. I used a black wire to represent the myriad of cables canvassing the bridge.

My apartment had a very New York City feel to it when I had the Brooklyn Bridge model next to the Statue of Liberty model. That and the fact that my apartment is in New York City.
